Right Age for Shifting your Kid to the Separate Kids Bed
Co-sleeping is an old practice common in the Indian subcontinent. It is basically a habit where parents and their kids sleep together or they share the same bed. It is mandatory to know the proper time when you will need to put your kids on a separated kids bed and let them grow independently in some aspect.
During the school session kids generally come across many instances where the primary children do not actually feel conscious about sharing the bed with their parents. This is not the same for kids in middle school and especially in high school. Indeed it was quite amusing to note that boys as old as 14 years are not allowed to sleep at their own kids bed. Their answer was that their parents did not allow.

This may not come as a surprise as in India this is quite common. Co-sleeping occurs due to several factors like:
- Lack of adequate place
- Avoid switching another AC in the second room
- Parental anxiety to let their children alone
- Some kids are a bit scared of sleeping alone
Indeed co-sleeping brings out the maternal instincts strongly when the mother-infant cuddle and sleep. A warm glow overcomes as we watch kids sleep in the arm cuddling up to the mother. There are certain benefits of making children sleeping separately in kids bed too.
As parents, it is quite difficult to be subjective but does think of this from your kids perspective. Choose the right age and time according to the comfort level, practicality and also as because you are the best to know about your kids' mind. Let them grow independently and the primary issue starts from this.
